How it tastes? A standout cup - Bright yet balanced. A refined orange-honey acidity is layered with refreshing notes of blackberry and apricot.

A smooth chocolate mouthfeel with a touch of caramel hugs all corners of this coffee’s body.

As the cup cools, juicy notes of green grape pop and spices of bergamot and tamarind linger in the finish.
Recommended Roast: Medium - Dark Medium roast develops notes of fresh berry, candied pineapple and vanilla aromas in the finish.

Dark roast extracts layers of dark toffee sweetness, berry jam and chocolate notes.

This high elevation, AA bean (16/17) takes heat well and produces a vibrant and bold cup.

Kenya AA Kirinyaga Kii Co-op

The Kii coffee is carefully selected after a broad cupping session of fresh harvested Kenyan coffees in our lab in Nairobi. This sustainably focused co-op qualifies to our ethical and environmental standards. The co-op dedicates its resources to educating its members on best farming practices and providing them with credit to purchase much needed farm inputs. This focus has earned Kii areputation for producing "Great" Kenyan coffees.

Built in 1965, Kii boasts about 3,500 small-holder farmers. Member plots are perched high in the southern foothills of Mt Kenya on rich brick red volcanic soils ideal for producing the hallmark Kenyan flavor profile.
