Organic Costa Rica Tarrazu COOPEASSA
A special Central American coffee from the southern half of Costa Rica. Here, a group of about 250 producers, each with just a few acres of land, have pulled their resources to form a sustainably conscious cooperative focused on producing Fair Trade, organic coffee.

COOPEASSA is renowned for full traceability and quality control. Members deliver their harvested cherries to the wet-mill which uses recycled water to process this well balanced organic coffee. Washed coffee is mechanically dried using parchment for even drying, up to a moisture content of 11%. It is then stored and prepared for export.
This Fair Trade co-operative runs a medical clinic and pharmacy for its members. In addition, it provides members income diversification by supplying supermarkets across the country with fresh roasted coffee.
